Who we are.

Materiias d.o.o. (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides the Influencer Alert Shopify app (the “App”). Contact: [email protected], Palovska cesta 11, 1241 Kamnik, Slovenia.

1) What the App does

The App helps merchants recognize whether a new Shopify order likely comes from a public social-media influencer. To do this, the App processes the buyer’s first name, surname/last name, email address, and postal address and sends them to Google Gemini to obtain a classification and tier set against merchant settings. The App does not modify Shopify data.

Disabled state. If the App is disabled or uninstalled, no processing occurs and we do not receive order events.

2) Roles

• Merchant (Controller): decides to use the App and determines the purpose of processing buyer data.
• We (Processor): process buyer data only on the merchant’s documented instructions to identify potential influencer orders.
• Sub-processors:
  • Google (Gemini): performs influencer matching/classification.
  • Fly.io (Germany): application hosting and database.
  • Mailchimp Mandrillapp: delivers merchant notifications that include only the order number.

3) Personal data processed (transient)

Inputs from Shopify: buyer first name, surname/last name, email address, and postal/shipping address.

Derived output (internal): influencer likelihood and tier.

Notification to merchant: Shopify order number only (no buyer personal data).

We do not intentionally process special-category data and do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

4) Purpose and legal bases

• Purpose: enable merchants to recognize potential influencer orders and consider outreach to organic customers.
• Legal basis (EU/EEA/UK): legitimate interests of the merchant (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); right to object is supported.
• US state privacy laws: we act as a service provider/processor and do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
